Job Purpose

This key staff member must be efficient, organized, courteous, and reliable. The Lawn Care Technician is responsible for completing jobs efficiently, managing the job site, ensuring crew members are working safely, ensuring that customers are satisfied, and promoting the company image.

Job Duties

Completing jobs efficiently by tracking material and labor hours, ordering material and inventory, create route and work order for each day, provide lawn services in the field, follow route and produce paperwork at the end of the day, understand fertilizer programs and scheduling, manage crew and job sites, review daily goal with maintenance leader each morning, check trucks and equipment daily for any issues, follow systems, be efficient in the yard each morning and afternoon, make sure all tools needed to complete the job are in trailer each day, keep job site organized and clean, loading at night for the next day. Managing the job and crew by helping with the billing of completed work, report payroll hours to office via iPads, track labor hours and material, ensuring everyone on the crew in working safely, discuss safety with crew, safety training on equipment and general site conditions, wear PPE. Upholding customer satisfaction and company image by keeping truck maintained and clean, cleaning tools and equipment daily, upsell and cross sell clients when needed, pass down company culture and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities
  • Over seeding, composting, and aerating lawns

  • Fertilizing commercial properties

  • Plant health care applications

  • Noticing harmful diseases and insects

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Pesticide license required

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
